Tuesday 1/22/13

Side Competition is on!!! My two daughters vs me for the first month. Losing team us to take the other team to the movies. This should be great. I hope that they like action films!!

My son-in-law did not want to participate in this one. Maybe the next month. Shorter time frames Might make us more apt not to put "it" off until later. Went to Mansfield for calling hours tonight so no. Physical activity. 4 for 4 on days and eating out. However the apple walnut salad was pretty. I should have gone back for the low fat Italian dressing, but I did not want to be a pin.

Monday 1/21/13

Things are still going well. Unbelievably, I had a vendor in at work today and we had lunch in the cafeteria. Did just OK. Had turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy and pineapple. 3 for 3 on days eating out.

Lifted for the first time for some variety. Pretty light but arms still shaking during second set of bench presses. Felt good to do it. We had to move items out of the back room in order to have room for my sons workout bench.

Saw my daughter doing some no jump aerobics, so I might try that later for a little more cardio. Need more sleep to be effective at this.

Weight still the same this morning. Down three.

Sunday 1/20/13

Here I am at day 2. I have had five meals since the weighin and three have been going out to eat. Want out for lunch after church with two couples as we had planned some time ago. Turns out the one man wanted to buy a family meal. While good it was not the healthiest and he bought two big desserts and brought around to each of us. Only had one and just followed moderation for the meal. Worked OK.

In afternoon went to my mom' and we ended up with chicken Alfredo from a restaurant. Again moderation helped. Maintained weight but did not loose anything.

Exercise at night again. Did a little more on shoulder exercises with bands. Worked well. Pushed a little harder on the bike. Figured out how to change displays to show other things and I like the one that shows the "mets". Or the I
Ncerase in calorie burn over resetting rate. A two equals twice the rate. Maintained 5 - 6 for more than ten minutes after extended warmup. Did a minute plus over 7.

Tomorrow will become lifting also. Replaced knee is doing well.

Saturday 1/19 - The START

Aaarrgg! First weigh in and it reads more than I expect!! 3 more pounds!
Turns out socks, jeans and T-shirt = 2.5 pounds and home scale reads 1 pound light

I got home and walked in t he door to my first challenge. There were donut holes
left over form the discipleship group that meets at our home Saturday mornings.
They are small (I thought) so one or two would not hurt. However, temptation
resisted. Had a reasonable lunch instead of rice and veggies.

We had a social engagement for dinner, but that went OK. Changed restaurant at
the last minute to a pizza place. Moderation ruled the day and we were good to
go this morning.

Also started shoulder exercises Sat night and did a twenty minute light ride on
stationary bike. Felt good.

Looking forward to results. I have sent options of some two vs two challenges
out to my family. Waiting to see what they will pick.
